So, I'm going to make this quick.

I was playing in my game, i'm pretty sure I've already done what I needed to get pregnant, but one day this lion cub randomly shows up. It's not in my pride and when i click on it the screen lags a little. It follows me and my mate around and never leaves.

So... Is this cub mine? Nothing "let me know" that I just had a cub or anything but I DO notice that I can roll over when I press U now. And even if it was mine, Why isn't she/he in my pride and why can't I see him/er's stats?

Also, When I kill a gazelle with the cub nearby, I get exactly 58 points.
And I ran a very very far way away, the cub still followed me.

Maybe a little lone cub =) LION's still unresearched so this is entirely possible that another lioness (a strange one) gave birth to the cub and died so it ran to the next lioness. It's common that one lioness raises another's cubs.

Nope, It's your cub xD not sure why only one but it's yours. They just appear randomly with no notice or anything when they're born. They just follow you around and don't show in the pride list (thus you can't control them) till they're adults. Unfortunately, you can't name them either, they just get random names.
Edit: also, yes other npc lions can die Razz i was standing near another pride and suddently i noticed a dead lioness, though she wasn't from my pride. I'm also not sure if other lionesses can give birth , it never happened to me, and neither of the prides grew in the 2 years (aprox) that i played.

Other female lions can give birth (My lioness killed another lionesses cub while on autoplay O.O) , and I think the darker furred lion cubs are male and lighter furred are females. :3

Huh, weird. I've never- never ever never- seen another cub except for my own. It's interesting to know that...
