| Is there a way to choose the color of your wolf sprites color? When playing around once I chose a wolf based on the color of the wolf's picture in the pack selection part (the wolf looked black) but my in game wolf was a light grey....is this random?
Also, was wondering about something I read somewhere on the forums about you can custom make your own? How do you do this and is it possible to get a white wolf?
What about pup colors? Are they determined by the colors of the parents or are they just random? (have yet had pups in this game)

| By how much you know, I'm guessing you're new to the game. First the selection screen doesn't always show the colour of the wolves pelt's in game. There are only 4 colours of pelts in WOLF: Red, Brown, Grey and Black. And it is not possible to change colours on WOLF. Pup colours will be passed on from parents but one or two may have a different colour pelt. (Like I had a grey wolf that mated with a red and I got 1 grey pup, 1 red pup, and 2 brown pups.) But, on WOLF online you can. But people can not connect together to play at the moment, so it is single played right now. There are two different WOLF games that probably got you confused: WOLF (1994 game) and WOLF online. (WO) Hope I helped! | |

| Thanks Chloethegreat I was probably confusing what I read online here in regards to wolf online versus the 1994 wolf game which is what I'm currently playing.
Yes, I am new to the game and up until now have only played wolfquest, having just discovered this game. I figured you couldn't change or 'pick' at the outset (like on wolfquest) but for some reason I thought that the picture of the wolf you chose (Rumor, etc) corresponded with the color of the wolf sprite in game...and after picking one that looked black I was surprised to still see a light colored wolf sprite in game. My current one is Wilder..
Thanks again for your help, I will have to look and see if there is any info around for the original game to help me out some more.

| Your welcome. Yeah, sometimes it can be confusing. In my opinion: WOLF will always be better than any wolf games out there, just with one fault of choosing the char and not exactly getting the colour pelt you want. And also that theres only 4 coloured pelts. Other than that, its a great game. Ask me anymore questions if you would like, and I'll try to answer them best I can. ^^ | |

| Just a little while to go. If everything goes right one of the next versions will be playable. After that, Multiplayer is just a stone throw away. | |
