| It's the one error that's easy to fix.
On all systems ( from windows xp up to windows 8 ) it's the same cause.
The game doesn't find dx8vb.dll. How to fix it though?
Use the regsvr32.exe that comes with the game or your own (found in Windows/System32/).
You may need administrator rights!
Drag the dll from DW to (DW)/DLL/. Open that folder and drag the dll on regsvr32.exe.
If your computer complains, do the next step too.
If not you should be fine now.
If the registration of that dll fails, right-click regsrv32.exe, properties, compability and make a tick in
"run as administrator". If it won't let you do that, ask the person who set up the computer.
Notice: dx8vb.dll won't disturb any current directx version installed. It is used by Wolf Online DW only. | |

The program can't start because dx8vb.dll is missing from your comuter. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem...
Should I reinstall it? | |

| It doesn't let me... When I do the popup window says: DllRegisterServer in C:\Users\Nute\Desktop\WODW\dx8vb.dll fehlgeschlagen. Fehlercode:0x80070005 I'm pretty sure fehlgeschlagen means failed in German. Fehlercode is Error Code in German. (Thx google translate) I have no idea | |

| Now that I've done that: DllRegisterServer in C:\Users\Nute\Desktop\WODW\dx8vb.dll successfully accomplished Yay c: I went back to the engine and when I clicked the place that says click here: Run-time error '339': Component 'COMCTL3N.OSX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid Grrr another run-time error | |

im having the same run time error i created a short cut now it says this o_O DllRegisterServer in C:\users\(name)\downloads\wolf ONLINE\WODW\WODW\DLL\dx8vb.dll erfolgreich durchgefuhrt idk german but after doing teh campatibility stuff and creating a short cut it says that D: and i put \users\(NAME) because it said my name and i dunt want dat cause its private info o3oedit: well i redownloaded the whole game and didnt touch anything (but i did install the library files cause i thought that would help...) and got a DIFFERENT error... 8I 'Runtime Error '-2147024770 (8007007e)': automation error the specified module could not be found ' BLEHH D:  | |

| I did the administrator thing and everything but when I click on regsvr32 a message pops up that says:
Es wurde kein DLL-Name angegeben.
Syntac regsvr32 [/u] [/s] [/n] [/i[:cmdline]] dllname
/u - Serverregistrierung aufheben
/s - Hintergrundmodus. Meldugen werden nicht angezeigt
/i - Aufruf von DllInstall, wobei optional eine [Befehlszeile] übergeben
werden kann. Unter Verwendung von /u wird die DLL-Deinstallation aufgerufen.
/n - Kein Aufruf von DllRegisterServer. Diese Option muss mit /i verwendet
werden.
