An Alpha females story (Very long)

Rumour stood at the den, looking at the other four wolves of her pack. Lucan, the Alpha male started leading the pack to a pond. Rumour followed, as she usually would. After a day of traveling, all the pack had left for the night, leaving just Rumour and Lucan in the moons light. They fell asleep together, as they usually would. The next morning, the whole pack had returned. Rumour went over to Nakomis, the beta female to make sure she still knows that Rumour is in charge. After that Rumour leaves the pack to go hunting, since she was hungry and there was no carcass in sight. She find's a caribou and slowly walks up to it, then the Caribou spotted her and started running. Rumour chased the Caribou and leaped onto it's back, biting in as hard as she could. But, the caribou, being stronger than Rumour, kicks her off.
Rumour limps away, being unsuccessful. Then, for her terror, Nakomis comes running over. For Nakomis, it was time for revenge. She challenges Rumour while Rumour is at her weakest. Rumour attempt's to fight back, but her injuries are preventing her from fighting. Nakomis defeats her, and leave's to the pack in victory. Rumour limps off, knowing she is no longer alpha female.

After limping away, Rumour luckily finds a carcass, even if it doesn't have much meat on it, it will do. Rumour slowly limps to a pine tree, sleep's the day and night away. She wake's up, feeling better. Rumour then decides to try to find the pack again, for her own good. After following the scent of her pack, she finally find's her pack. Nakomis is proud and strong, along side of the Alpha male, Lucan. Rumour submits easily over Nakomis at the time, since she is still injured. After a week following the pack, Rumour is completely healed. She then goes over to Nakomis, who is sleeping. She jump's on top of her, challenging her for the Alpha Female rank. Basically being evenly matched, Rumour launches the first attack, then Nakomis strikes back. But then, Rumour attack's her three more times, then Nakomis submits to Rumour.

Rumour, now the Alpha female once again, feel's proud and strong, as she walk's along with the Alpha male, Lucan. After a month of following the pack, Rumour decides to leave the pack for a while. She head's to the pack den and stay's there for a while. After that, she head's south, looking for food. She hears a plane fly overhead, and run's away, because she knows what they can do. A year before, her last mate, was leading the small pack of 3, then a plane came. The young Alpha male kept leading towards it, and ended up being killed. Rumour and Lucan at that time, ran for they're lives. After thinking about that from a year ago, she finds a carcass. Rumour chow's down then run's back towards the pack.

Only one day left till spring, Rumour is getting excited. The reason: This will be the first time Lucan and Rumour mates. She follows Lucan around, not wanting to leave him. The pack get's a drink, as for it's been dry and hot, when it's usually snowy and freezing. Is is now night time, Lucan and the pack falls asleep, and Rumour leave's to find something to eat. She find's a cow carcass and chow's down, then fall's asleep next to the carcass. She wake's up the next morning, excited to go find Lucan. She run's over to where the pack's scent is. But, for some reason, the entire pack look's sad and gloomy. She look's around, then see's it. A dark gray figure laying it the snow, motionless and cold. It is Lucan. Most likely, Lucan died of old age. Rumour nuzzles Lucan and tries waking him up, but fails. Rumour then look's over at the new Alpha male, Cepheus. He looks at Rumour, as she look's back down at Lucan. Rumour then walks over to Cepheus and licks his snout. After that, Rumour walk's away, with her head low.

Two weeks after Rumours' heartbreak, she has finally warmed up to Cepheus and accepts him being her mate. A couple month's later, Rumour and Cepheus have 2 beautiful pups. Rumour is joyful, but still thinks about Lucan, and how great he would have been a father.
