Run Time error '339'?

when i open the client this is what it says in the box;

"Component 'MSCOMCT3N.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Any advice as to what i can do, i am really excited to play and i cant.

Actually. NVM my post. after painstakingly scouring the fourm's other posts, i figured it out.

I'd like to recommend that there be a step by step guide for the game? unless there already is one?

No, there is not a turtorial in the game, but it will give you controls. What exactly do you want a tutorial with? you cant do much yet exactly.

i just mean for people like me who have no idea how to play, like;

What the controls are [it dosen't tell me in the game what they are, i just pressed random letters till it did something]

How long till we find a mate?

How long does the winter last?

etc.

all i've done so far is wander around, i dont even know how to catch prey.
or eat.

You won't find a mate until there are other players.

Winter lasts 30 days.

And by other players do you mean when there is a multiplayer server?

No, ingame days. There once was a formule to calculate them in real-time but... whatever.

And yes. IF There will be. As it seems now the concept of player-hosted servers seems to dominate.

So is it possible for me to create my own other player or does it have to be someone else?
