A Pack Under Attack? (A Wolf RP) [ACTIVE]

Plot: A wolf pack called: Aspen Meadows, is under attack by a pack of coyotes! This wolf pack is located in the Eastern green hills and they find that their territory isn't safe. They plan on moving more towards the North, hoping that it will be a better place for them. Will they get there in time? Aspen Meadows pack tries to come up with a good plan to escape the evil coyotes before it's too late.

Blaze, the Alpha male of the pack, stood in front of his pack mates. He had pitch black fur, and light green eyes, he had this appearance all his life. It seemed as if his pack members were worried about the evil coyotes that were going to take over their pack site. Feeling confident, not showing at hesitation whatsoever, he began to speak in a firm but gentle tone. "I would like to remind all my pack members that I have smelled a pack of wild coyotes around this area. It's a situation in which they will possibly come and destroy our territory, or us if we don't make it out alive. It's the time to sort out a plan. Does anyone have anything to say about this? We need to talk this out quickly, but calmly. Understood?" Looking at his other companions, he waited for them to speak what they thought on the situation.

(Finally, another roleplay! ^^ We had a wolf RP a long time ago, but it dissipated due to internal conflicts. Also, what season is it?)


Anyu, a female subordinate, thought for a moment, her amber eyes worry-stricken, before making her suggestion. "The coyotes outnumber us," she began. "If we move north, they'll simply wipe out the prey here and eventually follow us. We can't let them get used to scaring us wolves off. We're stronger and cleverer than they are; if we come up with a good offensive plan, we can keep the territory and the prey. All we need to do is come up with a stradegy."

(It's nearing Winter, the ending of Fall I believe :3)

Blaze nodded his head. He had heard for quite some time that coyotes like these would outnumber the least amount of wolves. These were fierce coyotes, and Blaze wasn't about to come into contact with any of them. "Good idea" he told Anyu. After hearing about the cons of moving towards the North, he simply just nodded his head in agreement. "Well... We wouldn't want that, would we? Well... I guess we will have to move towards a distance where the coyotes won't even think about wiping anything out". The black Alpha male thought for a moment about the strategy. Looking at his paws, then back up towards Anyu, one of his pack mates. "Well... I suggest that we roll ourselves in mud or something, so it would be a less of a chance that the coyotes would sniff us out. Also, I don't think we should howl much if one of our members goes off somewhere. A gentle warning to stay with your pack should be all that we need to say before we move on". He gave a brief smile before turning his full attention to Anyu once more.

Anyu nodded. She had complete faith in her alpha's decisions. "When do we leave?" she inquired.

Blaze thought for a moment. The scent of the evil coyotes got closer and closer by the minute. But surely they would have enough time to plan things out before the pack dispersed anywhere. "We will leave when the time is right. Although the coyote's scent gets stronger by the hour, we don't really have that long to stay here. I suggest that we cover our scent now by rolling in mud. We shall wash ourselves when we find a new place to stay. Preferably one with a few rivers. One to get fresh drinks from, and another to bathe in". Looking over to his left, Blaze could see a small mud puddle, but it was about 2 feet deep. He nodded toward Anyu, telling her to follow him. Padding over towards the mud puddle, he then stepped into it and layed himself in the very dirty water-like substance. While his black pelt turned brown, he felt very satisfied with the results. "Here. Your turn" he said as he got up from the mud. "This should keep you safe from the coyotes when we journey towards where we need to be".

Aaru the gentle quiet peaceful male subordinate wolf listened to Anyu's idea intrigued. He listened to his Alpha carefully; he wished for his pack's safety as much as he did. He steadily rose up from his position laid on a large rock. He followed Blaze and Anyu to the mud puddle. He awaited for both to finish covering their scent with the mud. "I hope this journey doesn't take long, it looks like soon it shall rain," Aaru informed them, he hated the rain. It felt uncomfortable on his paws. There were dark clouds ahead, but it looked like it wouldn't rain for a little while.

Aaru coated himself in the mud, it didn't take him long. There wasn't much difference in his coat colour; just here and there were more brown. He awaited quietly for Blaze's next order. He gazed around for a moment, he could smell a strong scent of coyote and he took in his surroundings of what he was leaving.

Blaze eyed Aaru carefully as his subordinate pack mate rolled himself in the mud also. He felt very pleased with his plan. Getting to his paws once more to look over some of the areas they would have to journey across, this was going to be a bit challenging. "I think we should take a right down there. The scent of the coyotes seem to be coming towards the left side, and if we slip through there instead, then we could get ourselves into some serious trouble. Towards the right is a good pathway to take. Less of a chance of running into predators". Standing there, the Alpha Male sat down while the light from the sun glazed deep within his eyes. He wasn't about to loose hope yet. This plan was going to work and everyone was going to get to safety very, very soon. Slowly turning his head towards the 2 wolves behind him, he smiled and counted on them to reply with satisfaction.

Aaru listened to Blaze while thinking. His plan sounded like it was more likely it would indeed work. "Sounds like a plan that has a likely chance of working," Aaru simply said while he perked his muddied ears, listening out for the coyotes. He could hear them; but it was still quite faint. Aaru awaited to leave and follow the plan with his Alpha and Anyu.

Anyu rose up from puddle. She sniffed the air and, just as she'd predicted, couldn't recognize the scent of any of her pack mates. She smiled in praise at her alpha.

Getting up, the black Alpha male gently nodded his head towards his two pack members. Taking a deep breath, he readied himself for the journey at hand. "Alright. Are we all ready to embark on this journey? But before we leave, I must warn the both of you, please stay close to each other. We can't get the scent of ourselves, or each other, and we can only rely on our eyes". Blaze looked over to the right of the direction they planned on traveling. "We will pad this way for quite some time... Preferably about 2 to 3 hours maximum. We will take rests, but only 5 minute ones. When we are about halfway to our destination, the coast will be clear enough to hopefully find some useful waters to bathe in. If you are ready to follow along with me, please do so". With that said, Blaze slowly walked down the pathway over to the right side, looking back every once in a while, to make sure his pack members were still there.

Aaru as usual listened to his Alpha's instructions with respect and he moved himself closer to Anyu, but left a small gap in between them so they both had their space. Aaru began to follow Blaze, keeping to the right side of the pathway. He looked to Blaze whenever he looked back to check on Aaru and Anyu, and he made sure he kept up with his Alpha, he didn't want to waste any time as the journey was going to be long enough.

This journey felt long. But Blaze kept in strong enough to become out of sight from the on-coming coyotes. Every now and then, he would stop when he heard the rattling of leaves, thinking it would be one of the coyotes trying to gang up on them. His right ear turned in the direction of sudden rustling of bush leaves. Being very quiet, his eyes slowly looked over if it was an enemy approaching. "I think I hear something..." Blaze whispered quietly before looking back at his two pack mates. His nose for sure picked up a strong scent, but he could hardly make out what it was. Without hesitation, a small plan quickly formed in his head. "Quickly! Over here!" he whispered to both wolves as he proceeded over towards the left side of the pathway, since the coyote was over on the right side.
