Dont forget that "Wolf" is an old DOS-Game.
The Answer is easy: Poor Sound = lower Size File // Better Quality = higher Size.
You know what i'm trying to tell?
An *.wav with 11khz 4 Channels and 16bit with Lenght of 10 Seconds can have a Size of 56kb
An *.wav with 44khz 16 channels and 24bit with Lenght of 10 Seconds can have a Size of 500kb - 1,5mb
The old game was delivered on FLOPPY DISCS.
Do you know how much you are able to save on an Floppy ? 1,44 MB !
With special tricks up to 3,50MB.
So please understand that there was no other option for the Creators of Wolf.
